adorned with gold

This Little Piggy was held at china heights over the weekend, and here are the three girls which i created especially for the show. Each girl is adorned with golden glitter - highlighted- crowned - gilded. Regal royalty.
(If you are interested in purchasing one of these, please send me an email. caitlin.shhh@hotmail.com)
It seems that each time i attend an art opening, the weather gods seem to want to spoil things, and the temperature escalates above boiling point, leaving everyone frazzled and wiping perspiring brows. Despite the heat, it was a fabulous night full of sweet people and cider and pig themed pictures.

(as you can see, i'm probably becoming too obsessed with black and white movies, as these names are appropriated from some very lovely starlets.)

i love the way each of your girls have this inexplicable quality of character about them, just in the ways they carry themselves...i love the way your paintings have a child-like quality about them...yet there are those delightful little details that brings them to a new level of sophistication... it looks as if these girls are encased in their own wonderful little world...

LOVE LOVE LOVE keep it up!

  2. Wow. I'm hard-pressed to choose a favorite, they are all so lovely! The pose of Claudette, the accessories of Astrid, the hair of Lucille. Very wonderful work.

when i "grow up" and live in a real house with a white picket fence and things, i'm going to decorate the whole house with your artwork. it will be the best house ever, because of this!

  10. I love the backgrounds and Lucille's hair, but my favourite thing has to be Claudette's pose. It looks like it was really difficult to do, but I love it!
