I adore these. There is something really beautiful, elegant, and sexy about really simple black illustrations with pops of color. My dad was neighbors with Anais Nin when he was in his early 20s. Ah, she is such a magical creature, but such a tortured soul. I have read a little of her biography. But I think she uses her twisted and tortured youth to really free her expression in her sexy writing. I have gotten a little overwhelmed trying to read one of her raunchy books, haha. But I think she is kind of incredible anyway. A strong, dominant, but deeply rooted in her femininity, woman.
I absolutely love these. They remind me of Andy Warhol's illustrations. The looseness of them is so special and unique. Definitely shows your character. I'm an illustrator too. I've just signed up to follow you.
fun..
