bedroom studio

Many thanks go to Nicole from BoysWithBanjos for featuring my studio space (cough cough, paint-stained desk and dimly lit bedroom) on her blog! (more photos there.)
Does anyone else here work from the confines of their bedroom? I'm always dreaming of a large white loft with an abundance of natural light, but my bank account says a very stern 'no!' and i've not got a sugar daddy to pay all my bills. ha!

  1. Same! I've always wanted a loft with massive windows for natural light (photographer's dream!) maybe even some exposed brick on one of the walls. Sigh.

  2. I'm in the same boat! Your workspace looks lovely - I particularly like the swan <3

  3. I love the big window you have! I also work from my bedroom. I've got a really large circular table in the middle of the room, which also used to be white... takes up all the space!

Maybe one day we'll both have studios!

    1. I reckon we're both on the right track!

p.s. Would you like to do a print trade and/or collaboration on day soon Sashiko?

  4. Your room is beautiful! I love your little swan, I have one that is almost identical (he holds some brooches). What do you keep in yours?

  5. It seems we're in the same dimly-lit boat, haha! Yes, my bedroom is the place I work most(and mostly on the floor because my small desk is not big enough to hold everything). I hope to one day have an entire room devoted to my imagination! Who knows how far in advance that dream is though.

  6. Stephanie - my little swan is empty. (empty hearted?)

  7. Yes Caitlin, working from my "bedroom" - aka, tiny dormroom, so not only is it my bedroom, living room, kitchen, and studio all in one. I'm living out of a backpack, the rest of the space is consumed by paper, brushes, paints :-)
