Frankie issue 48

Holy Moly - things are really getting better - July is my birthday month, interesting jobs are on the go, and my textile stuff is all coming together nicely - but what takes the cake is that i've also got work in the july issue of Frankie mag!  (planets must be in the right alignment.)
In issue 48, not only is there a giant pull-out poster of my biscuits illustration, there's a featurette on my biscuit dress. Thanks to Holly and the Frankie team for being such dolls and having me as their featured poster artist for the second time. If only my highschool self could see me now! wowee. not to be cheesy, but dreams really do come true (if you work really hard...). :)

(p.s. If you'd like to win your very own biscuits dress, pick up a copy of Frankie and flip to page 23 to see what i'm talking about.)

    1. you'd be so good at it Maria.
because it's such a passion, i just have to turn it into a job for myself. I too wish i could be hired by a nice company to create all sorts of surface design for them, but it's incredibly hard - you need diplomas!
it is tough to do on your own, and expensive too, but i'm starting small and learning along the way.

  6. That's incredible! I've followed you blog for a couple of years now and it's so great to see you grow as an artist and find success.
Frankie is usually very hard to find here in Toronto (not to mention pricey) but I'll look for this issue and purchase it just to see your work! Keep on keeping on, Caitlin!
